Farm2Grow have recently completed our Big Tree Plant! The farm now boasts a beautiful one hundred and twenty five strong fruit tree orchard which is the result of amazing efforts from community groups and volunteers from throughout the county.
Only a few short months ago we offered you the chance to come along and get involved with the planting of our fruit orchard. And the response we received was fantastic, from experienced gardeners to complete novices, everybody that came along and contributed did a really great job and some even left with a new skill which we were really pleased to be a part of.
- In 2014 we aim to have the Bee hives installed and active. Thanks to training and funding from Trafford Hall, we’re nearly there! – see below
- In 2015 we have plans for a wild flower meadow
- In 2016 we aim to start selling our own produce
During all this time we will continue to hold open farm days, support people with health problems, young people with learning and behavioural issues and host group visits. Throughout all this the orchard will play a big part in this so huge thanks go to The Big Tree Plant fund for supporting this project.
If you’d like to get involved in any of the above please contact us.
